This was done for direct comparison with their results on
the production of Zinc oxide (ZnO) nanostructures using Dormand Prince and Cash-Karp methods. Furthermore, the study aimed to determine the numerical approximation that may provide an estimate for
the concentration of Zinc ion () and Hydroxyl ion (OH - ) in the growth process of a ZnO nanostructure. The current study utilized the Cash- Karp method to solve ODE used in the development of the Lengyel Epstein reaction model. Afterwards, the results obtained from this approach were compared with the Dormand Prince method to determine its efficiency. After appropriate detail analysis, it was determined that Cash-Karp yields more consistent results as compared to the Dormand Prince method. The simulation for the solution of ODEs offers a higher convergence rate when Cash-Karp method is used. The error margin of the Cash-Karp method is comparatively smaller than that of the Dormand Prince method which may also be verified by the experimental results of growth of ZnO nanostructures.
Kaniz Fatima kaniz, Talat Sharafat Rehmani, Sarwat Ishaque Copyright (c) 2024 Kaniz Fatima kaniz, Talat Sharafat Rehmani, Sarwat Ishaque https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journals.umt.edu.pk/index.php/jarms/article/view/6211 Tue, 31 Dec 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Relationship between Personality Traits and Humor Styles and their Impact on Social Support of Young Adults https://journals.umt.edu.pk/index.php/jarms/article/view/6200
The current study aimed to investigate the relationship between light and dark triad of personality traits corresponding with healthy and unhealthy humor styles. Furthermore, it also assessed the impact of light and dark triad of personality traits as well as self-enhancing, affiliative, aggressive, and self-defeating humor styles on the social support of young adults. A quantitative study design was employed. A total of 214 participants were purposively selected from various public sector universities. Standardized instruments, namely Light Triad Scale (LTS), Short Dark Triad (SD3), Humor Styles Questionnaire (HSQ-32), and Multidimensional Scale of
Perceived Social Support were utilized for data collection. The data was statistically analyzed using correlation, regression, and t-test. The results showed that significant inverse relationship exists between light triad of personality and affiliative humor style. There is a positive correlation between aggressive humor and light triad traits. Dark triad traits are directly associated with self-enhancing, aggressive, and self-defeating humor styles, however, not with affiliative humor style. The exploration of gender differences revealed that men tend to score higher than women in light triad of personality. Likewise, men score significantly higher in aggressive humor style, whereas women score higher in perceived social support. The multiple linear regression results manifest that self-enhancing humor positively predicts social support, whereas self-defeating humor has negative impact on social support of the young adults.
Rabika tul Ain Arshad, Nadia Younas, Mehdia Zahra Copyright (c) 2024 Rabika tul Ain Arshad, Nadia Younas, Mehdia Zahra https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://journals.umt.edu.pk/index.php/jarms/article/view/6200 Wed, 08 Jan 2025 10:11:17 +0000 Maximizing Logistics Output through Strategic Packaging Decisions: An Exploratory Study https://journals.umt.edu.pk/index.php/jarms/article/view/5474
Recognizing the critical role that packaging plays in the overall success of a firm’s logistics initiatives, the lack of a targeted study in this area may result in missed chances to optimize logistics output.
