Scilit—developed and maintained by MDPI—is a multidisciplinary, free scholarly database that indexes scientific material by extracting the latest data from CrossRef, PubMed and other sources on a daily basis. This means that newly published articles are added to Scilit almost immediately.
Launched in 2001 by Informatics India Limited, J-Gate is an electronic gateway to global e-journal literature. J-Gate provides seamless access to millions of journal articles. The J-Gate platform is fronted by a simple, intuitive, and easy-to-use interface, and also gives users complete control over search filters. By allowing users to access content from a wide variety of publishers on a single platform, J-Gate exponentially increases journal usage.
ROAD has been developed with the support of the Communication and Information Sector of UNESCO, it provides a free access to a subset of the ISSN Register. This subset comprises bibliographic records which describe scholarly resources in Open Access identified by an ISSN : journals, monographic series, conference proceedings and academic repositories. ROAD records are enriched by metadata about the coverage of the resources by indexing and abstracting databases, registries and journals indicators. They are downloadable as a MARC XML dump and will be available as RDF triples in 2014.
EuroPub is a comprehensive, multipurpose database covering scholarly literature, with indexed records from active, authoritative journals, and indexes articles from journals all over the world. The result is an exhaustive database that assists research in every field. Easy access to a vast database at one place, reduces searching and data reviewing time considerably and helps authors in preparing new articles to a great extent. EuroPub aims at increasing the visibility of open access scholarly journals, thereby promoting their increased usage and impact.
The electronic journal library is a service for the effective use of scientific full-text journals on the Internet. It offers fast, structured and standardized access to scientific full-text journals.It comprises 104,243 titles, 23,958 of which are purely online journals, covering all subject areas. In addition, 134,989 journals are listed by aggregators. 68,690 professional journals are freely accessible in full text. The user libraries also offer their users access to the full texts of the e-journals they have subscribed to.
SBP Library was established in 1949 at Karachi to cater the information and research needs of SBP Officials. It was originally housed at the old Victorian-Styled State Bank of Pakistan Building (presently Supreme Court Registry Office) situated opposite of Shaheen Complex at the crossing of I.I. Chundrigar Road (formerly Macleod Road) and M.R. Kayani Road.
