Dr. Ejaz Ullah Cheema

Professor Dr Ejaz Ullah Cheema is currently serving as the Founding Dean of the School of Pharmacy at the
University of Management and Technology, Pakistan. Before fetching a position at the University of Management and Technology, Mr Ejaz served as the Program Director for the 5-years MPharm program at the University of Birmingham, holding the position from September 2018 to September 2021. In the year 2002, Mr Ejaz completed his education at the University of Punjab and earned his degree. He completed his Master's in Pharmaceutical Services and Medicines Control from the University of Bradford, UK in 2004 and his Diploma in Overseas Pharmacy Assessment Program from Aston University, UK in 2006. Mr Ejaz has served as a registered Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager in the UK for 10 years where he also completed his doctoral studies from the University of Warwick, UK in the area of Pharmacy Practice in 2015. Mr Ejaz has been actively engaged in research with a primary interest in the safety and efficacy of medications used in the management of long-term medical conditions. He is interested in conducting both primary research, including randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and cross-sectional studies as well as secondary research, such as systematic reviews. His published portfolio includes more than 50 papers in high-impact journals, including the Cochrane Database of systematic reviews, the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, the European Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, and BMJ Open and PLOS One. Apart from that Mr. Ejaz has also served as an external member of Warwick Evidence (an academic research group) at Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick, UK from 2018-2021.
