Role of PUBG in Modifying the Speaking Skills of Pakistani Youth

In recent years, there has been seen a drastic demand for video games. Through research, media professionals have found that online and offline video games are not only the potential tools of learning but also have a powerful impact on youth.  Video games can help to improve one’s aptitude like problem solving and help to gain knowledge of new things such as language. The purpose of this study is to shed light on how online video game like PUBG is affecting the speaking skills of youth through interactions and conversations while playing. The study is conducted in educational institutions of Lahore (Pakistan). The method used is the Survey method and data has been collected from200 participants to understand the role of PUBG in shaping the speaking skills of youth. Findings conclude that there is overall a positive impact of PUBG on speaking skills through in-game chatting. Further, the result indicates that it provides useful insights for players to do random things such as coordinate and cooperate with other teammates as well.
