Peer Review Policy

All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the chief editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, is sent for double-blind peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is kept anonymous. We help researchers to get credit for their creative work by publishing their manuscripts. We also help authors refine their work by providing them with expert reviewers' comments and suggestions before every publication. The professional language editing is also free for everyone.

The Review Process

Each article undergoes three comprehensive reviews. Papers are accepted for review only after the plagiarism check. If it is within an acceptable limit of less than 10%, the formal review is started; otherwise, the paper is sent back to the author to reduce plagiarism and resubmit.

1)      Initial Desk review: The UMT faculty performs it according to a pre-defined template. Papers are checked for their relevancy, research methodology used, inferences drawn, references, and language use. The report is sent to the author within 15 days of submission.

2)      Review by Local reviewer (double-blind peer review 1). Papers are checked for their originality, contribution to the body of knowledge, and other indicators specified in a pre-defined template. It is assigned to a distinguished research faculty chosen from the list of editors from Pakistan after mutual consensus.  

When the report is received, it is immediately sent to the author. A comprehensive revision by the author accommodating all recommended changes is expected within the assigned time frame.

3)      Review by an International reviewer (double-blind peer review 2) 

Papers are checked for their originality, contribution to the body of knowledge, and other indicators specified in a pre-defined template. It is assigned to a distinguished foreign faculty chosen from the list of international editors after mutual consensus.  

When the report is received, it is immediately sent to the author. A comprehensive revision by the author accommodating all recommended changes is expected within the assigned time frame.

The revised paper is returned to the reviewer for further review. If the reviewer gets satisfied with the changes made, the article is formally accepted for the forthcoming issue and forwarded for publication. 

If the reviewer is not satisfied, the cycle is repeated, or a second opinion is sought. 

The acceptance of an article for publication is the sole choice of the editor.

Publication Fee Policy

All articles published in our journals are open access and freely available online, immediately upon publication.

The journal does not charge an article submission fee.

Authors do not pay Article Processing Charge (APC) and Article Publication Fee (APF) to cover the costs of peer review administration and management, professional production of articles in PDF and other formats, and dissemination of published papers in various venues, in addition to other publishing functions.

All the expenses are born by its publisher, University of Management and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. There are no charges for rejected articles, no submission charges, and no surcharges based on the length of an article, figures or supplementary data. All the items (Manuscripts, Editorials, Teaching Modules, Corrections, Addendums, Retractions, Comments, etc.) are published free of charge.
